What is Hemp History Week?

Hemp History Week has been apart of our history since 2010 when it’s media coverage was first covered in Portland, Oregon.  Awareness of Hemp History Week has started to spread and stand out more on behalf of the hemp industry getting more and more attention from the public overall, with a big part of that recognition being generated thanks to Senator Mitch McConnel and his recent victories with the Industrial Hemp Farming Bill and the Hemp Farming Act of 2018, which is what will be helping Hemp be removed from the schedule 1 narcotics list and placed as an agricultural commodity, allowing federal freedoms in regards to hemp production, manufacturing, possession, research, and more.

Hemp History Week became official nationwide on June 4th, 2018, with the intent to ensure the legalization of Hemp Farming.

Hemp History Week is a set period of time that is designated to show support for hemp, industrial hemp, hemp products, and all things relative to the hemp industry, celebrating the many benefits we receive from the plant, as well as a week set for hemp companies to offer discounts and share information in regards to hemp to help further expand the education and knowledge surrounding this incredibly valuable plant.
